Getting into Tairua

 

We got into Tairua and was able to meet Gareth’s girlfriend and set up our tent and play games. It was great to see Nixon and Haydn’s family and we played with them after we got set up. It was nice to be together. The house was so perfect and beautiful.

Last day up north

 

We got up and had some breakfastand decided to go fora hike together.

After we were done we packed up and headed over to tairua to be with Gareth and the family. But before we got there we snuck in a visit with Toni. 

So good to see them. And for my kids to meet him. 

This was awesome. So we were all hanging out on the beach and watching the tide come in and out and Takeshi 💛 made sure that he tried to get across to this rock and back between the tide coming in and out. He made it and it was very entertaining.

This hike, like everything else in New Zealand, was beautiful. 

NZ foliage is the best.

We simply had the most fun and beautiful time up north in New Zealand. I can’t wait to go again.

Church and the best beach of the whole trio

Dru and I decided to get up and go to church to see a missionary. I’d met a lady in the temple and her son was serving briefly in the whangarei ward. I told her I’d visit. So we went. The other kids didn’t wanna go. So it was just Dru and I. 

They had a pretty good set up. We loved using mums tent. ⛺️ its perfect. 

Here’s the Elder we met. He left the next week. Crazy right??  He had just come from the Islands. I’d love it if Takeshi got that mission. 

We ended up meeting with the stake president who was the father of kids I went to school with. Pres. Reti. He showed us around their new building and shared his testimony with us. Their sacrament meeting was really good too. Their building was new and it was wonderful. It’s a great place to live. He was really nice to us. It was a wonderful visit. I’m glad we went. 

The kids were up by the time we got back and we were going to head out to the beach. Then a local guy asked which beach we were going to go to and he told us we wouldn’t wanna go there. We actually wanna go to this other beach called daisy beach and proceeded to tell us how to get there.

We were so grateful to that man. This beach was the most beautiful of our whole trip. There was basically no one there. The waves were perfect. There was a wonderful rock pool and shade from the sun. I couldn’t have asked for a better beach. We all stayed there’s for hours and had a blast.
