Life to live

Takeshi went to his other mates birthday the other day as well and they went to a place called Jump time. He had the best time ever.

How fun is this place?

The kids didn't have any school Friday and they had mates around. So I took them to the discovery center for some fun.
How cool is this shot of Hank and Masaru? Pretty sweet green screen.

Here they are all playing together. Pretty cute.

Here is Emiko touching the electric ball. I loved that she put her head on it and we found out it made that lightning bolt to her head. Pretty cool.

So Dru got a vasectomy the other day and is laid up for a couple of weeks. So Paul decided to ride with us Saturday and we took Masaru on a sweet trail up by bogus basin. It was tons of fun.

Conditions were epic and it was nice to be out there.

Masaru said he needed a snack and said it was a long ride.

The other day I had all my kids and my mates two kids and needed to go in to get the tires rotated. So I went in. They have popcorn and water and a big place to run around with lots of tires. I let the kids run around and play tag. Masaru tried to stop them and tell them to settle down, to no avail.
I figured what was the harm of letting the kids play tag around this big store?
Next minute Masaru gets this passive aggressive note from another customer who's waiting for her tires.
Masaru was wrapped and was so proud of himself. I had to contain myself from dissing on this lady and let Masaru have his moment.
The other kids were wondering what they'd done wrong. I told them nothing and just tried to move past it.
The lady obviously knew that I would see the note and obviously didn't appreciate my 'free range' parenting.
Freakn people and their up tightness man. What are the kids suppose to do? Sit still and quiet for 20 mins while watching adult TV?
Sometimes I think people forget what it's like to have kids and are just up tight, unrealistic and judgmental.
At least she's got one thing right...........Masaru is a great kid!!

I came out of a meeting the other day and this is the view I saw. Absolutely stunning and I knew I had to get a picture of it. I love Boise foothills. I love Boise.

End of soccer autumn season

So it's the end of the soccer season, which is great.
Here is Yuki's team at the end of their last game getting their awards together.
They moved up to U10 and it was a tough season for them. They all played great but they only had a tie and no wins and the rest losses. It was sad, but they looked good and learned well.

Yuki still amazes me at how well she plays. It's really great to watch her play. She's wonderful.

They had two coaches, Amy and Bradley. They're both amazing and we're grateful to them.

We had a soccer party at our place a week later and here's the kids jumping on the tramp. teaching themselves how to do back flips. These guys are awesome man.

Then here's Takeshi's team. They did really well this season. They won most of their games and enjoyed their coaches.
Takeshi loved the season this year and played really well. I was proud of him.

They had an after party at our place as well. Don't mind Dru being Mr. Gangsta in the background there.

They all had a blast and the day was perfect for a party. Good times.

Here's Matt enjoying the pump track in our back yard. Love it.

Soccer is great and it's also great to be over. I'll always be a supporter of team sports and am glad at all the lessons my kids learn from it. Soccer suits me well as it's just 6 weeks. I can do 6 weeks.

Catch up time........

My brother and his family are up north at his wife's family's place. They love it up there man and here's the reason why. Check out this sweet fish Llew caught..........loving it.

My other brother Delwyn raced his first triathlon the other week and did really well. His best is the bike, just like my ironman brother Gareth, but he felt pleased with his results. So proud of him.

I decided to take Masaru on a new trail called Threebears. It was going great until my front derailleur fell off on the DH. I was bummed and tied it up with a plastic bag in my camel back then costed down the rest of the time. Talk about bummed. Masaru had a good ride though, so that's good. It's nice he's good enough to ride with now. I'm happy he loves it.

Here's my mum still living the sweet life with her hubby and tripping around. Love that she's having a great time.

Mum.

Beautiful New Zealand beach.

With my brother, Haydn's, family at the lighthouse.

My cute niece Gracie.

I can't even handle looking at this picture of fish and chips man. I miss it so much.

Kids got wet so had to strip.

Here's Takeshi after a hard day of playing with his homies.

Takeshi went to his mates birthday party where they bobbed for apples. I mean how cool is that right?

Got it.

Look at this crazy kid man.

The other day Emiko was telling me how she had a NZ accent like me because she says rubbish instead of garbage and how she actually lives in NZ and that her and I are basically twins. It was so cute. She talked to me about it all morning, on and off. Cute girl.

Emiko has started playing with my mate Nat's daughter, Claire. They actually play quite well together now Bryan is at school. It's pretty cute.

Girls night in McCall and some random pics.

The moon that night.

So the morning of the girls get together we had 8 girls coming, then three bailed on the trip, so that left 5 of us.
I went to Hillary's place and we all car pooled up to McCall. It was nice to chat together. Her neighbour friend, Jessica, came with us too.
We got to the cabin and started a fire for warmth and had some lunch and sat and unpacked and got warm and watched a movie.
Natalie turned up and it was nice to see her. We hung out and talked and waited for another girl to come up who was Jessica's mate. I forget what her name was. Lanae? maybe? I dunno. I guess we can call her that for the sake of this post.
She showed up and we ate dinner then tried to go for a hike but there was a tree on the road so we turned back and decided to just go to the hotpools.
Lanae drove and her driving was crazy, so by the time we got to the hotpools the three of us in the back seat felt sick. Hillary actually threw up!!!
It was nice to be at the hotpools and they felt so good. It'd be nice to have a hottub at your house. Maybe one day.

We tried to get a picture of us at the pools and this is the best we could come up with. It was super dark, they didn't believe in lighting and misty cause of the hot and cold air hitting each other.

We couldn't really see each others faces either. It was pretty cool. It was raining for a little while too which was really nice. We couldn't even see how many other people were there with us!!
We came home and watched a movie while I sat cosy and knitted like an old lady. It was really nice.

Hilary, Jessica and Lanae all stayed up till 3:30am and talked. Nat and I went to bed upstairs and talked for a while then drifted off into sleepland. I'm glad I went to bed earlier. It's always nice to get a decent sleep

The next morning I slowly got up and went outside with Natalie and talked to her for an hour while looking at the perfect view from the back of the cabin. There was even a rainbow for a second. It's nice to be in nature, it's always calming.

We decided to get some pictures after we had some breakfast.
I was bringing some wood to prop the camera up against for the pictures but Natalie found something else and pressed the go button and I was left holding the wood hahaha!!!

In this picture Hillary was suppose to be peeking through my legs and missed the shot. Hilarious.

We then worked WAY too long to get the best shot possible of us jumping off of the log.

Hahaha look at my face. Crack up. Jessica was the best jumper and Hilary.

Normal shot of all of us. I must've been cracking up about something.

Then Nat and Lanae had to go home to get to business back at their places.
So the three of us went into McCall and went for a hike at Goosecreek Falls.

Down at the bottom of the falls.

We talked the whole way down and back up about life and things. It rained on us the whole time, but wasn't a heavy rain.

The famous log shot.

We then did a little shopping for my mate Cesha who's birthday it was the next day. I found her this amazing art piece of thrown clay that had been coloured. It was beautiful. I'm glad I found it.
We then ate at this amazing place called 45 something? Hahahahaha, Bistro 45? The food was really good. I'd love to go back.
We then headed home and packed up and cleaned up and headed back.
It was a nice conversation back and we went to get sushi. The sushi wasn't that great, but the company was.
I went and visited Cesha and gave her her gift and hung out for a while, then I came home to an empty house and so called Dru and talked to him for 3 hours to keep myself company.
I enjoy my family and realized I love the 'normal'.
The girls night away was really lovely and it helped me to appreciate my marriage and kids even more an how much I love them, are grateful for them and the relationship I have with Dru and how he's my BFF and how lucky I am to have that with someone.
