Father's Day 2020

So I got Dru a gift and it still hasn't arrived. I'm hoping that it'll be here by his birthday next month. So that cool.
Extra gift for his bday?

The haul Dru got.

He wanted apple pie and so made it himself.

Turned out great.

He then also worked on the last part of his shop.

Looks wonderful

Then he worked on cleaning the yard.
So it was a pretty standard day really hahahaha
I guess this just sums up Dru. He's not fussed about being made fussed about.
We love him, he's a great father and we're lucky to have him in our lives.

Various family things

Yuki didn't want to use this face mask. So I used it instead. I gave Takeshi a fright, so he took a picture of me. It had a weird slimy effect. So that was nice.
I watched this documentary and it was excellent. I really enjoyed hearing about their story. But I get into them, so if you don't like them, maybe you wouldn't care as much. It's just interesting to see the difference between what you thought happened and what really happened. The older I get, the more I realize that things are never what they seem.
There was a duckling found in our neighbours yard. They took care of it and we babysat it over a weekend that they left town. A little girl that Yuki was watching killed it though and we had to break it to our neighbours. It was horrible for Yuki. We felt really bad. The neighbours took it well, but still, I was looking forward to a duck for a pet just cruising around. Super sad.

Masaru was riding his bike and broke the wheel. A new wheel was going to be $600. So he pleaded his case to Santacruz and they only charged him $200. So Masaru was very happy with them and we couldn't be happier with their customer service.

Now he's got his brand new wheel and it's under warranty for life. So it was worth it.

Here's Masaru at the Boise Bike park with his mates, doing some tricks.
Here's him and his mates doing a train together.
 New trick in the belt.
I'm glad he wears a helmet. There's some kids at the bike park who don't and it makes me scared as a mother.
Here's a beautiful sunset in boise.

Things got a little outt've hand and I've got catch up to do now. It's July 23rd and I'm posting things from a month ago.
Blogging is tough to fit in. Blogging, knitting and reading is hard for me to fit in and I try really hard cause they're things I like to do, but I get blocked a lot by mum stuff like housework, kids and stuff. I just keep trying to find a balance you know.
So I'm going to try and blog almost daily so I can catch up. Catching up and blogging in real time is always better.

Our first 2020 trip out of our house - Pugg's cabin

As always, the cabin trip does not disappoint. Especially as our first trip out of our house. So good to be out somewhere with friends. We were happy.
I brought my bike and decided to go mtb a couple of times.
I met Dru in SLC because he'd gone up earlier to go to his highschool buddy, Dax's Dad's funeral. His Dad died of cancer. Super sad. It was very quick. I dunno if that's good or bad.
Anyway these are some of the views while biking. It's better in real life.
There were three families, us, Davis and the Maxwell's. It was nice to be together and it's a good fit for everyone bar Masaru. It would've been nice for him to have a friend, but he did well and kept himself busy.

For the first couple of days the boys worked hard on putting in a new driveway for the cabin. It looks beautiful and they worked well together. They were tired and hungry and we had plenty of food for them.
We brought our nail stuff so we could do nails. The girls also made plenty of friendship bands as well for everyone.
Puggs made this awesome Japanese bread for us. It was perfection. I loved it and was grateful for Pugg's hard work.
There were three dogs at the cabin and Emiko loved it. I caught her hanging out with both the Davis dogs and getting her hugs on with them. Super cute. I think my kids would really like a dog. I just can't look after it.
Sorry man.
I biked passed this waterfall and had to stop and get a pic. It was so beautiful, moreso in real life.

Here's a vid of it.
Aaaaaaaand here's me standing by it if you didn't get enough of it already hahaha

So Milo, the kid in the middle doing the peace fingers, fell out of the second story window. It was around 15 feet high or 4.5 meters and he has nothing to show for it bar a couple of scratches.
He's a walking miracle.
It was scary for sure, but luckily, Topher is a fireman and has seen a lot worse than that by a long shot. He checked Milo out and he was just fine. Crazy right? Our bodies are so amazing.

I had a good time doing yoga and knitting, playing games, reading and hangout it.
It's what everyone needed and it was a great few days together. It's never long enough and I didn't take enough pictures. Must've been too busy having a good time.

Playtime

Trampoline fun.

Takeshi learned a new trick. So cool right?

Masaru got his new bike and is way pumped about it. I'm proud of his efforts in saving and am really happy that he has a bike he loves so much. Well done to Masaru.

These pic's are pretty funny. Capturing them in the down.
Way crack up.

I always ride this one trail and never noticed this tree until the other week. I think it's beautiful so took a picture of it.
Masaru let some mates girls bury him the other week. They were pretty happy.
Knitted some sweatbands and a bib for my nephew.
