Lost and found, mtb and baby geese with weird cars

So I was out biking with Teresa and Jobecka and totally lost my mtb glasses while out. I didn't notice till I got to the top so borrowed Teresa's to come down Cobb.
Then Takeshi and I set two days later, to try and find them on the trail.
There's Takeshi taking a picture of himself having a great time on the trails, trying to look for my glasses.
In the end, he's the one that found them. And there they were, just sitting there like nothing. So awesome.

So glad I found them. They'd endured two huge rainstorms. Probably helped with people not taking them. Plus SE Boise people are pretty good people, especially most trail people as well.
Now my glasses are back on the face they need to be on.
Way happy.

Takeshi getting comfortable on his drops.

It was Caleb's birthday a couple of weekends ago and Yuki decided to do this for him.
 He liked it.
Masaru went and hung out with his mates the other night and it was two couples and him. He didn't seem to think that was weird so who am I to say anything right?

They were some of his rugby mates that ended up together.
Takeshi went to the Boise Bike Park three days in a row with his buddy Hank and learned some tricks. Here's Hank.
Here's Takeshi doing a one hander.
Then here he is doing a seat grab. All about the tricks man.

Here's Masaru at the Boise Bike Park with his friend doing a one footer. He's got a dirt jumper that's a collective bike from his friends. So he uses that until he buys his own one and it gets passed onto the next guy.
On a day it was gonna be 90 degrees F and 32 degrees C we decided to go out to our purple dragon place and have some fun with some friends. Here's Emiko with Gunnar.

 Yuki brought Fiona with her.
And Masaru, who you can't see, brought Kaleb and Elijah with him. They all had a good time out there while us mum's sat around and talked and ate. It was a beautiful day.
Emiko had a tooth pulled due to the filling catching her nerve. It was a baby tooth, thank goodness, and so it was an easy call, rather than try to fix the filling again and maybe have the same thing happen you know. It wasn't a good experience for Emiko. It hurt and I had to give her pain meds for a couple of days. I felt bad for her, but now she's doing great and doesn't have any problems in her mouth. We have a great dentist as well, so that helps a ton.
Yuki stayed the night at her mate, Fiona's place for Fiona's birthday. It was a ton of fun and they had a great time. Yuki informed me that she stayed up until around 5am. So that's crazy. I went and picked her up at around 11:30am and they were just getting up. She was hammered that day.
Jobecka got me this top for my bday. I love it.

The other day I was pulling out of Winco shopping and saw these super cute gooslings and couldn't of hated and loved something so much in the same vision. Those geese are royal pains in the butt in Boise and I wish they'd all go away back to Canada. But the babies are super cute. These Boise geese are the worst. Their poop is big and long and gets in everything and ruins our parks and waters. They need to go.
Then we saw this cute car the other day and figured we'd capture it. It barely fits that guy in it. It doesn't go very fast.

Mother's Day

I made sure my bday and mother's day were on separate Sunday's this year, even though they were technically on the same day.
That made me feel better.
I woke up and had gifts given. Emiko painted this beautiful picture for me with her fingerprints.
She also gave me some candy she'd brought me, which was wonderful.
Takeshi and Yuki scoured the river to gather these rocks to make this poster for me. So good right? They said the river was cold, but it was worth it.
 So beautiful.
Dru got me some chocolate as well as a funny card.
It's so funny because it's true hahaha
He wrote nice things to me.
This is what my bruised leg looked like 10 days later. Still figuring itself out.
I cleaned the house top to bottom the day before so everyone could relax. I had dinner made and we did church at home and had our lesson.

Dru captured Masaru having a hard time staying awake during the lesson. It's pretty funny. Watch till the very end. He gets crazy.

Dru put these in for me, which I've been wanting for a while now. They're little drip systems for my hanging plants. So I just have to turn on the hose and they'll get watered. So thats really nice.
Now if I could get them on the front. One thing at a time right? He's slowly been getting things done around the house that have been patiently waiting for him to have time to do it. He's got one big thing he's working on in the shop and that'll be done and he'll feel better. That shop will be worked on forever. But oh well I knew it'd be that way.

I wanted us to take a walk for mother's day as a family. Everyone wasn't super pumped about it but they didn't argue because it was my day.
We ended up having a great time, which is always the way. It was sunny, we saw friends, and we looked and talked together and had a great time.
It was just what I wanted.

Mother's Day was lowkey and just nice. I like being with my family and us being relaxed and my house tidy and not having to worry about dinner.
I'm greatful to be a mother. It's the hardest thing I've done in my life and I'm pretty average at it. But I got myself into this mother thing and there's no backing out now, so I need to persist to make the best of myself, as a mother, as I can.
The children will tell you I do nothing but yell at them from sun up to sun down. So that makes me feel good.
I've never proclaimed to be a great mother and I hope the kids will be ok in life with me as their mother. Time will tell I guess.
Happy mother's day to me.

Ducklings in our yard and friends

So with our irrigation coming in, we get a few visitors to our yard. It's pretty awesome. This week we were lucky enough to have a mother and her ducklings in the backyard.

 It was pretty cute.

Yuki went out and took some pictures for us.

Here's a video to get a closer view.
The next morning we found bits of ducklings all over the place and so they were totally attacked. Super sad man. Some survived.
Yuki decided to shave her legs. It made me sad but it made her happy. She's growing up.
The kids can be with their mates now, so that's nice. Here's Emiko with one of her best friends, Bryan. They're pretty great together.

Here's some other friends as well. This is Susie and her family. They picked up Yuki and Emiko to take them on a hike. It was just what they needed. It was nice of them to invite them and they had a great time.
For my birthday my three girlfriends took me mtbing.
Dru shuttled us up to the top of hardguy, which was amazing of him.
Then this is what it looked like just after the top part. So so beautiful. Here's me and Jo.
Then we came down and turned off towards Kim's place.
We stopped and talked a ton. hahahaha
Masaru also decided to go for a ride and took some shots of his ride. Unlike us, he climbed up to the top of hardguy instead of being shuttled like us ladies.
 Beautiful right?

He also caught a snake. So that was fun.
He didn't feel good on the way home because he didn't have enough water or any food with him. I told him to take it easy and learn for next time.
Here we are almost to Kim's.
Super fun.
But before we went too much further we had to get a shot of our bikes by this tree. Cool right?
Teresa got this shot of me watching them set up the bike pic. I love this picture of me. I'm thinking of framing it for myself.
 Jo and Kim.
 Teresa and I.
We went back to Kim's place and ate and hung out and talked. It was awesome and I loved it.
My front berm is growing into itself and I couldn't be happier. It's so beautiful.
Dru is making the final adjustments to the shop. The back needs to be finished off and so he's been working on that. Should be beautiful.
My girlfriend gave me some rhubarb and so I boiled it down like my mum did and split it into groups for cooking. I used some and then froze the rest.
I busted Dru wearing his flipflops with socks. He always mocks us kiwi's for doing this and so I had to take a shot of him doing it. He said it was once and he was desperate. Whatever Dru, totally busted being a kiwi.
Here's what I made with the rhubarb. Super yummy.
Here's my bruise getting some more colour. It's been quite the bruise to get through. My leg is only ok now.

Next knitting project. I'm behind.

My beautiful berm infront of my house.

Kids having fun with their mates.

Things are good.
