Iceland - Part 9

Look at how dirty our car is hahahahaha
We went to Stykkisholmur and saw this beautiful church.
It's just there looking over their cute town.

This place is Dalabyggo and it had these rock piles. I'm not sure why.
A lot of the farm houses had grass going all the way up the wall like this. I thought it was awesome.

Look at this cute view from the chapel.

Then we saw these kids living large on the local bouncy thing in the middle of the town. How cool is that right? My kids would love this.

Here we are at Grundaarfjaroarbaer falls. Usually if it's a nice day they're even more beautiful. Oh well. We were happy to see it.  Some of the pictures we've seen of it are breath taking. It's a pity it was cloudy.

Look at this amazing terrain.
It's kind've like another planet.

We then headed out to another falls just down the road.

Here we are at the beginning.

We had to feed the horses to get in.
I'm not sure what this is but I stopped to get a picture. Picnic tables?

We then headed to Helgafellssveit and saw some beautiful falls.
It's so pretty.

It reminds me so much of NZ.
Beautiful right?

Here we are walking through so you can see what we see.

Love this picture of me at the top.

Iceland - Part 8

The next day we woke up and the weather was a little cooler. We had these cute kids wash our front window on our car and were on our way. We came here to Northwest Iceland to see this rock. I can't remember what it was called but it was a cool hike to get to it.

I wonder what it's story is.
Then we headed on our way and got stuck off the side of the road. This guy got us unstuck and we couldn't be more grateful to his kindness.
I know it doesn't look like much, but you had to be there I guess.
Here's his truck stopped and willing to help. Who knows what we would've done.

More stone people.
Love them.
Here's the cute kids washing our window.

We then headed to Hunaping Vestra to see this beauty.

The hike I was talking about to get to the rock.
Beautiful right?

I love waterfalls. I guess if you don't then Iceland isn't for you.

Even though it was cold it was still wonderful to get out and see Iceland and it's beauty.
