The summer cabin trip with Puggs

So Puggs contacted us when he first got the schedule and asked us if multiple dates would work to go to his cabin in the summer.
Dru and I looked at all the dates and decided the June one would work.
Can you believe how awesome they are to do that? We're on the A list for sure. They made sure we could come and that's why I love these guys.
I love coming to this cabin and being with everyone.

So the first night we had Stacey's sister, Kim and Ben and their kids with us. All the men had on their ratio shirts, so we knew we had to get a shot of them together.
Dru decided to be John Travolta for a second.
Then I guess he decided to be the Fonz, or make rude gestures to Puggs, one or the other.
Then they decided something was really funny.
And then all had a great laugh about the whole matter.
Someone took this sweet pic of the four of us, which I really like. We need to get a better picture of the four of us together so I can frame it.
The weather went from beautiful and sunny to snowing all in one weekend. It's was kinda crazy beautiful.
Boy from each Ben, Puggs and Dru.
Dru and Puggs making sushi with my hand in the corner helping out.
The kids all having turns on the little video game thing.
Some of Dru's fantastic sushi.

Some of the things we made for our dinner that night.
I love Dru's sushi.
Also this weekend I finished Masaru's hot bottle cover.
I finished this book club book. It was ok.
These guys all had a blast downstairs, tearing it up.

Here's a comparison of the dad's and their kids in the exact order. Pretty cool right?

Dru doing his thing.
We also went on a hike so I stopped and took this short video. It's beautiful up there. It was nice to take a hike together. Yuki came with us.
It was Dru, Yuki and I, Puggs and Ethan and his wife and their little baby.

I ate way too much food.
We played games and hung out and I had a really good time, as always.
Good to have our first summer break getaway, thanks the the Davis family.
Always a good time.

Father's Day

So American Father's Day came and it's always on a Sunday.
On this day I had a talk to do in another ward at 9am.
Dru came and listened to my talk.
I did it on my father and my heavenly father, since it was father's day.
Dru told me he cried, so it must've been ok.
I enjoy talking infront of people, so it was a nice way for me to start the day.

At church that day in our own ward we also had another two really good speakers who did a great job talking about father's as well. It was really nice.
The Dad's got a snickers bar as a gift, which Dru loved as it's one of his favourites. So that was great.

We came home and gave Dru his gifts.
He got all of his favourite candy from everyone and a apron for when he's working on all of our bikes. He picked that out himself, so he's sure to like it.

We did a little scripture study, which Dru taught, and then he took a nap.
Then he got up and then Masaru proceeded to follow suit. I always encourage Masaru to take naps when he can. He's growing so fast and is so active that it's important for him to sleep when he can. Plus he always looks younger and a little more sweet when he naps, and I like that.

I made Dru chicken parmesan for dinner at his request. It didn't really turn out that great. I might get rid of that recipe. It's not as good as I remember. Oh well.
Good day.
Hopefully Dru liked it.
I sure worked hard to make it a great day for him, so he better of thought it was ok.

Swim, cuzzies, mates and fun.

So in the second week of June we started swim lessons with the  Bleazard kids. Mon-Wed-Fri we took the car and Tues-Thurs we rode our bikes. It worked out great and it was nice to sit and chat with Nat most days. I sat and knitted most of the time, which worked out great.
We would always stop at this rock and eat our snacks on our bike ride home.
Everyone did so great.
Emiko past level 3 and Takeshi past level 5 and Yuki graduated from the highest level 6.
Both Yuki and Takeshi tredded water for 45min and they both swam a mile in 39 and 43 mins. They did amazing while I sat there and knitted.

Masaru made these pancakes for us and we found money inside of one of them. I'm not sure if it was a game or what, but how does one mix in money with the batter? Crazy. At least it's not a plaster.

We had the cuzzies over the other day, playing in the irrigation. Good to see them and hang out.

Another shot of us at the snack spot on our last day biking home from swimming. So fun.

Emiko having fun with her buddy at the snowcone shack.

Got this sweet letter from Kokopops.
Dear Mum,
I am so sorry today is not your day. I love you so much. I hope tomorrow will be your day. You are as beautiful as God. Love you so so so so so so so so so so much.
Love Emiko.

Yeah so pretty much I have the sweetest girl in the world as a daughter. Love her and how she loves me. What a nice letter.

She drew this heart and kiwi to go with it as well. So wonderful.

I really liked this saying.

How one weekend went for our family. This was a video I took when we did the camp sleep over with the Bleazards and had the Jorgenson's around as well. Takeshi had some fun being the ride co-ordinator.

Getting together with our Brampton peeps

The other weekend we were suppose to go camping with the Bleazards, but then it fell through cause of weather. Insert sad face here.
So we had the Bleazards over on the Friday night and had all the kids spend the night (bar Masaru) out in the tent for our own camping.
I got zero pic's of that happening. But it happened and it was a fun night together.
We had Hilary and Andy over as well for dinner that night, which is always awesome. It was a great night together with friends.
None of the kids got cold, they all made it through the whole night, none of them came in and it was pretty spectacular.
They all got up at around 9am as well. Talk about a wonderful night. I thought maybe they'd be up early, but nope. So awesome.
Then the Sunday night we invited our Brampton peeps over for dinner together and got these shots of us all. It was so awesome to have everyone together and to chill together.

We love these guys and had a great weekend with our friends. It was really nice.
Then Jessica, our neighbour, sent us this pic of our backyard, with irrigation, from her point of view. Isn't it a wonderful picture?
I feel the need to frame it, but have nowhere to put it. Oh well.
I'm grateful for a good weekend.
