Masaru

Here's some of Masaru's latest work.
I figure if I record it here, I don't have to keep the paper copy.
Am I right?
Or just mean?
I thought it was funny as well when they got thrown out.
This is Uncle Chris' tent.................the ward liked to call it the 'cultural hall' tent as it was the size of a small village.
This alien used videocameras to get to earth. There are three.  They are creepy.

'This made me laugh'
 I love this picture.
I know he's no Picasso but I think it's pretty cute.
Then he decided to set up security stations in his room.
Here's a guy with is gun waiting to shoot and in case of a getaway he has his trusty car in the background.
Always need a guy with a gun covering you while you sleep right?
This guy has a dog with him.
This ninja has a bulldozer.
I'm not too sure why a ninja needs a bulldozer but it's hidden so he can flip down and dig a hole to catch anyone trying to enter.

Masaru's a good kid and I"m glad he has an imagination and likes to write, play and build.

Where's Druzie?

You can see him from seconds 11 to 16.
He's in the middle left side of the picture.
If you watch the guy who's walking towards Mary you can see Dru in red robes with a white scarf and a red and white striped cap thing on.
He's sitting on the bottom stair in the background eating food and taking a little from the waitress lady in front of him.
This is the only shot he's in.
But he'll take it.
It's better than not being in the shot at all like his mate who was with him.
I think it's pretty awesome.
Now who was the first one who got it.
From the comments I'm thinking it's my brother Haydn.
But Angela was the first comment....................is that who you were meaning Angela?  Or was it someone else.
Cause it's the right seconds but the wrong robe colour, that's all.
Let me know, otherwise it's my bro Haydn.
Always loves a good competition.

Got good eyes?

I'll give a prize to the person who can find Dru in this movie.
Remember what he was wearing?
Hope so.
Good luck, Dru had to point it out to me.
World famous, in mormonsville..........................

If you need it to be bigger click HERE to see it in fullscreen.

Flowers?

We got you some flowers mum.
Do you like them?
The green ones are called fox tails, we pick them for our teacher at school.
Me: 'Oh they're beautiful, thanks guys'
Me to Dru: 'How long do I have to hold these until I can chuck them?'
Dru: 'Till they're in bed'
Me: 'Sweet'

Lov'n it

Worked out at the gym tonight.
Just me, weights, and music.
Oh yeah, been missing this.

2 months

So Emiko is two months old.
Technically tomorrow I guess since she was born on the 27th.  But she's 9 weeks on Monday.
WHO CAN BELIEVE THAT?
Not me.
Man things go faster on the other end rather than on the end when your big and pregnant and getting no sleep and totally done.
I can't seem to get a decent picture of her.  She's always making this face.  Anyone wanna come and take her picture for me and do a decent job of capturing how beautiful she is?
Cause I can't seem to do it.
Anyway she's a trooper.
Poor girl.  Sometimes I'm busy.................well ALL the time I'm busy and I try to give her as much attention as I can.
Thank goodness for feedings so I can play with her hair and ears and rub her back and focus on her.
I love it.
She'll be feeding now and pull away and give me the BIGGEST smile.
Man those are the good moments that's for sure.
She's so cute and good natured.
I can't imagine life without her.
She brings a peace to me, having her here.
She had a rough night last night but that's alright, easy to forgive since she's fantastic during the day and most nights.
She's so laid back, it almost makes me think I could do it again if it was another her.
Like I said though, I'm not sure if it's her and she's any different from the others, or if I've just become more relaxed and used to it since it's my 4th.
I dunno.
Maybe a bit of both.
Cause I've never thought any of my kids were hard you know.
Masaru was the best and I think Emiko rivals him.

Yuki fell off her bike and her arm got infected.  We had to take her to the doctor.  It'll take 7 days of changes and medication but she'll be ok.
Anyway while we were there she was weighed and she came back as 37th%tile.  So she's not average anymore, she's on the smaller size.
Well Emiko is up in the 70th%tile when they weighed her.
She's almost 12 pounds.
Yuki never made it past 50th.
So she's eating well that's for sure.  Maybe her and Masaru will have more in common than I thought.
Both have the WRIGHT genes.
Time will tell I guess.
This two months has gone by like a rocket and I can honestly say I've loved more of it than not, which is huge for me at this stage of my babies.
I love being a mum.
And I love being Emiko's mum.
She's a special girl and I'm glad I get to share a part of her life with her, what a blessing.
'Love you bub, you're perfect to me and to your father'

Gone

So mum's gone.
She left a few minutes ago to the Boise airport.
It was a great trip and we all had tons of fun with her and her husband here.
I haven't laughed till I've cried in a while and did it a few times while mum was here.
That was good for the soul.
The kids are really going to miss them.
I'm really going to miss them/her.
I know everyone rolls their eyes when I start talking about how it's hard to have family so far away.
'Here she goes again, complaining about her 'hard' life'
But too bad man, it's my blog and I'll cry if I want to.
Now it's back to me, myself and I.
I miss my mum.
I miss my dad.
I miss my brothers.
I miss my sister.
I miss their kids.
This November will be 4 years since I've been home.
That makes me wanna throw up.
I miss home.
I always get this 'feeling' when I step out of the plane.  It's like no other feeling and I love it.
It's like 'ah home, finally, where people understand my accent, I don't have to explain what I just said, there's food and places from my childhood, familiar things are all around me'  It's almost peaceful to my soul.
I don't mind explaining myself, so don't get all paranoid USA peeps, but every now and then it's nice to blend in for a second.
I need Dru to be rich, just so I can go home once a year, I don't care about anything else really.
I don't need fancy stuff, just trips.
Alright, I've had my cry, now baby's crying and I'm needed elsewhere.
Life goes on right?
Back to reality.
Love you mum hopefully we'll see you sooner rather than later.
Thanks Pete.

Utah

We went to Utah for a quick visit this weekend.
Can I just say how much I LOVE kiwi bus?
Alright.................moving on.
We arrived LATE friday night and caught up with Dru's parents and mum and Pete.
They had a great time seeing Moab, Grand Canyon as well as Vegas.
Talk about a whirlwind trip alright.
Emiko did GREAT and slept through the night.  Looks like she's a keeper and this is the new normal folks.
Here's a cute pic of Takesh on the way down.
Saturday I caught up with a couple of mates and saw my sister in laws new place.
I don't think we can be mates anymore.
She's moved up in the world and now she's going to be expecting me to do my hair and wear make up.
At least that's what her neighbourhood looks like ;)
It was a really nice day with family and friends, while Dru worked on our house for the new renters.
Hopefully it'll work out great.
On the way home we stopped at these falls in Twin falls.
SO BEAUTIFUL.
They're called the Niagra falls of the West and now we can see why.
We stopped for lunch then a weird storm came in.

So we got a photo op, then Dru was told off by an old lady for holding Takeshi so close to the edge like that.
Dru told her he had it under control and she need not worry.
What is it with people thinking we're crap parents?
I think we're great ;)
Here's a great shot of how horribly fat I am.
*sigh*
Oh well.
Then we went and saw the look out of the valley here.
It's really pretty and I'm glad we went.
It was a short trip but a great one and Im glad we chose to quickly go down with Dru as a family.
Alright...........better go feed baby.
Thanks to family and friends who saw and looked after us.
Great seeing you.

Yesssssssssss

Emiko slept through he night for the second time last night.
Pretty much, best baby there is.
I'm not sure what I did to deserve this girl, but I'll take it.
'Love you bub, thanks for being so perfect'

Alike?

Yuki {above}
Emiko {below}
What do you think?

Pre-school

So I was searching for pre-schools for Yuki.
They're not cheap man that's for sure.
I got a couple of names and got in contact with them.  Either spendy or only 2 hours at a time.  It took 10 mins to get her there, so by the time I bundled everyone up and took her there I was basically turning around to bring her back home.
No thanks.
Yuki's been ready for pre-school for a while.  She LOVED the co-op one I did with mates but I quit that due to being big, pregnant and lazy.
So I was on the hunt again.
Then I found the perfect place.
She's in for 4 hours twice a week, so DOUBLE the time which is GREAT.
It's RIGHT by Masaru's school so he walks her there and I pick her up.
HOW AWESOME IS THAT?
It fits my busy life so well.
AND BONUS?   Cheap.
I met the teacher and looked around the place and it's AMAZING.  It's HUGE and has TONS of stuff for her to play with AND guess what?
They give her BREAKFAST!!!
She was WAY PUMPED this morning to be there.  I'm excited to hear how her day went when I pick her up at 12:40.
I'm happy I found something so awesome that fits into my budget and busy life style.
What a blessing.
'Love you Yuki, hope you're ruling the roost in no time ;)'

Purse.............

So I had this big idea to make mum a purse for her birthday.
LOL
Guess when her birthday was?
Yep beginning of February................
I just got it finished last night.
I don't know what my problem is man with being on time with stuff.
Anyway I was gonna send it to her but then when I figured I was running late on it Dru suggested I just wait until she comes over and then I proceeded not to work on it for a month!!
Typical me man.

I still haven't perfected them.
This is my fourth one I've made and I still have yet to get it JUST RIGHT.
I made one for my mate and didn't do a liner.
I made one for Dru's bro's wife and it barely opens.
I made one for Dru's sister and it was MASSIVE so I had to sew it down.
Then the same thing happened with mum's one PLUS I TOTALLY forgot to do a pocket in the liner.  I was concentrating so hard on the liner (Dru didn't do it this time) that I had it sewn in before I remembered the pocket.
"Sorry mum, you'll have to fish around for those keys"

Anyway I did a different flower on the front this time to co-ordinate with the liner.I like that.
One day I'll find the PERFECT pattern and make the PERFECT purse.........................and keep it for myself ;)

Emiko's blessing

It was Emiko's blessing today and it was tiring but wonderful.
My sister in law (Kristin) made Yuki a blessing dress that we also used for Emiko.
It fit perfectly and she looked just as beautiful.
Look at those little booties..........just wonderful.

 Sisters.
I hope they can be close.

Emiko took it all in stride and did wonderful.
We had both sets of Grandparents as well as many friends and neighbours come to the blessing.
It was really nice.
My one neighbour hadn't been to church in over 10 years.
I was really appreciative of everyone being there.
All in celebration of this perfect little girl whom we love to bits.
What a wonderful addition to our family.
It doesn't get cuter than her that's for sure.
We didn't get any shots of the whole family as the Grandparents took the kids home and they were changed into their 'normal' clothes and playing with their mates by the time we got back.
Oh well........
I did my best to look the best I could for the occasion.
Dru did a great job on the blessing and I'm proud of him.
 Me and Mum.
We came home and Dru's mother had sorted a lot of things out and his father was helping as well.
It was nice to have so much help.
Dru did a ton and ended up with a headache at the end of it all.
We had our friends and neighbours over for a little get together afterwards.
That was really nice.
 Dru's parents.
What a huge help they were.
Such a blessing.
Side note:  Dru's Dad's getting his hip replaced soon.  Fingers crossed it goes great.
If it goes well I think his mother will get hers replaced soon.
The fun side of getting older.
My mate Dani and her family.
Dru just got called to the Elders Quorum first counselor.  Seth is the President.  So these two will be spending a bit of time together over the next wee while.
The Elders came over for a feed and to meet the neighbours.
Our mate Marcelle came as well.
She hadn't been to church for a while and so we really appreciate her coming for us.
Here's my mate that hadn't been to a church in years.
Awesome.
Then I had my regular peeps here like Natalie and Hillary and Andy.  Although they weren't there at the shin dig they were there at the blessing which we appreciated.

One of the Elders playing with the camera.
 Candid shot of mum.
 Grandma and Grandpa Pete.
Yuki being her usual cute self.
Chris and Julie came afterwards in the afternoon after the shin dig was over.
They were busy in the morning but we appreciated them coming out and visiting for a while.
I saw Chris for the first time yesterday.
It was good to see him.

We had a good day in celebration of Emiko.
She's a great reason to celebrate.
We love her.
She's the best forth child a mother and father could ask for.
It doesn't get any better than her that's for sure.
Great day.
