2021 Masaru's homecoming dance

Masaru went to a his buddies homecoming dance in Utah. They found him a date and he said he had a good time. Crazy right? This guy has friends all over the place. He makes friends pretty easily. I'm glad he had fun.
Here are additional pictures of his Boise 2021 homecoming dance crew. He didn't really know any of them, but went in there and had a great time.

I asked Natalie to take their pictures, and she graciously did. She did an amazing job in the middle of a windstorm. She found the perfect place for pictures. You can't even tell how crazy the weather was at that moment. She's pretty amazing.

Here he is when he picked her up. He drove a lot of them around cause he could drive and had a van. They went to dinner then the dance then back to the girl in the dark blue dress' house. She has an amazing house and they had the most amazing time. He had a wonderful night.

It was also her birthday. So he got her some balloons. He kinda felt bad but wanted to give her something, so balloons it was.
I'm glad he had the best time. This was the start of him meeting his future girlfriend and that whole ('disaster') I mean learning experience hahahahaha As we all know, life is about our learning experiences right?
Homecoming 2021 was a success and he had a blast.
Here he is mucking around at D-Tech with his homies hahahahaha I'm glad no one was hurt.

Yuki's birthday 2021 She turns 14

So my baby girl had just turned 14 in this blog post. She's now actually 15 and it's crazy to me. I love her so much.

Anyway this is what she did for her 14th birthday. They did an escape room and they did great. I'm pretty sure they got out.

She has really good friends and so that helps a ton.
Actually this friend in the white t-shirt on the side to the right here, ended up not working out later on and isn't in her friend circle. But the rest of these girls are still in her friend circle and were all at her 15th as well.

I'm not sure what this picture is but it was in my phone around this time. One of my kids must've done this tower and figured they'd grab my phone and take a picture of it for some reason.

I decided to get a picture with Yuki and it turned out pretty good.
Here she is with her mtb buddies at one of their football games supporting him. All these kids look way different a year later but Yuki basically still looks the same hahahaha

Here are some videos of the escape room that they took. It's pretty shaky hahahahaha

Yuki is a light in my life. She's a really good person and I'm so grateful she was born into my life. It's been a wonderful opportunity to be her mother and her life has been a huge blessing in our family. She listens to reason and talks and expresses herself. She's kind and caring but also doesn't take any crap from people either. She loves her Dad and she loves me too. She enjoys the outdoors and loves to move her body and does great at school. Her friends are trying to convince her to be part of chior but she keeps telling them she can't sing. The one thing she can't do hahahhaha
I'm so grateful she has good friends and seems to be doing well. She has a little anxiety and overthinks things. She likes control and is learning how to deal with letting go which will be good for her. She's in such a great spot for a 15 year old girl. I'm so glad I didn't give her social media or an 'open' phone. I think it's saved her feelings of worthiness and helped her esteem greatly.
I just love her.

Cows, mtbing, Race rescue, golf tournament and more..........

Just out mtbing and seeing cows on the trail. This is a pretty usual occurrence on the trails. Especially out by peggy's and polecat. They've kind've ruined those trails, but whatever.
Some pictures of Masaru mtbing.

Sacrificing the body for the shot.

This is Masaru down in Utah riding with his buddies on a sweet trail.
Masaru just missed Seth but was able to catch Tate before he left on his mission. He loves the twins. They're some of his very best friends. He's very blessed to have them in his life.
Puggs was doing his race with Ethan and Dru went down to support. Unfortunately Puggs and Ethan didn't finish it out. Puggs did around 60 miles of the 100 and Ethan did a little more but ended up breaking his hip. So Dru, Ryan, Puggs and his running partner lifted Ethan out. What total heros if you ask me. It would've been so hard. Proud of all of them.

End of the year ride from 2021 with our team. Good kids and good season.

Masaru trying to be strong on the bar

The still shot making him look better than what he really is hahahahaha

Friends, machining, volleyball

We like to call this group of kids the 'rat pack' as they're always together and hanging out at the races. It's pretty cute. Here they are just playing at the kids local pool. It's pretty nice. This is back in 2021.

This was a super cute note that Emiko wrote to Yuki when she was upset about something. I'm always proud of my kids for being able to say sorry. They're so good at it and it's because Dru and I say sorry too. I know as we lead by example we can teach each other good things always.

Takeshi found these rocks and polished them all up for Carter. Pretty thoughtful of him and super cute.

Here's Masaru working on his bike. A year later and now he's in the process of selling it. It's been a great bike for him and has taken him on many awesome adventures.

Doing some tricks.

This is one of the machines that Masaru uses at his D-tech class.

He loves it over there and is grateful to be able to learn these things. He wants to do it as a living.

He knows he needs to be careful though and has seen some accidents. So I hope he's ok.

Here's a little of the process of him making something.

This is his new friend (last year this time) Parker. She's been a big help in Masaru's transition into finding new friends. I'm grateful for her.

Yuki made the 8th grade A team for volleyball last year and here's some of her game time. I like watching her play. She made the 9th grade A team this year as well but she's going to give it up. Which is fine, but sad too. I like watching her play. But it's the same time as mtbing and Timberline requires their entire soul to be able to play up in the highschool level and she's not willing to give them her soul. So she'll switch to mtbing only in the fall, then move to bball in the winter I guess.

Check out this sweet save that she does.
Totally aces this serve.

Love watching her. Love her.

Masaru's 2021 homecoming, an owl in the backyard, Dru's podcast and friends.

Masaru decided to ask Maddy from his seminary class. We all came up with an idea and helped him plan for it. It was pretty cute and her reply was cute as well.

Here's what we came up with. Pretty cool right?

Here he is asking her.
Pretty cute right?
Here was her answer. Very creative.
It was pretty awesome.
So now he helps with the the prep. Making sure he matches her and helps out with the organizing and such. He was a part of a group that he kind've knows but not super well. So he helped out where he could. They didn't have a photographer and so I asked Nat to help out and she did. I'll put up pictures here soon. She did a phenomenal job.

In other news. We saw this owl in our backyard and thought it was pretty epic.

I mean look at this!!

So I had Dru on for my podcast and it's the most listened to podcast at 330 listens. The only one that's higher is my very first one at 360. So I guess people wanna hear what he has to say hahahaha

Here's what it looks like. Isn't he so handsome? It was a good one. The kids loved it and I guess so did everyone else.

Here's Takeshi with his mate Carter just hanging out. Carter had tennis I think and so Takeshi just hung out and watched him. They've been friends since Takeshi was born. It's pretty cool.
