Iceland - Part 10 Last Day

So we got our car back to the place and went into our Air B and B and got clean and re-packed all our things. It was nice to be in a cute little place and to have one last day/night together before we headed off home.
Their main city is a big city and it's just like any other big city. We got some food and did some last minute shopping for the kids and wandered around. I loved being there but enjoyed the countryside a lot better.

I saw these knitted things and figured I could try to make them.
These have soap in them. Pretty cool right?

Me just hanging out with a giant Polar bear in my jandals and socks like the true kiwi I am. We finally got settled and ready to watch a movie and then I casually asked Dru if we needed anything for the flight. He looked and it said we needed a covid test! AHHHH WHAT? We were in panic stations. It was 11pm and we had to find something rapid and fast. So we searched and searched and found a place right by the airport that you could book an appointment for. We were so relieved but still had slight anxiety in hopes that we'd make it on our flights in time.
So the next morning we packed up and went early to the testing place and it all worked out. We were very luck indeed. I hated the test. I shoved the lady's hand out of my nose and she got angry at me and Dru couldn't stop laughing. No surprises we weren't positive and we flew back home to meet out kids and tell them the epic tales of Iceland.
This trip was so so wonderful. I had the BEST time with Dru and love him so much. He's such a great travel buddy and I love spending time with him. I'm so glad we went and would highly recommend it to everyone.
