Mother's Day

So this mother's day was great.
I got up and Takeshi gave me a card and a little paper game thing, I forget what it's called. We all made it as kids. Anyway it has numbers to pick and then it had things for him to do for me all day.
It was awesome.
So one of them was to make me breakfast, lunch or dinner. So I had him make me breakfast. He made it exactly how I wanted it. It was awesome to be served by him the whole day.
He did a great job and it was the perfect little gift and just what I needed.
Emiko had her last soccer game and I didn't get to go because I was at EBP. But Dru went and got this sweet pic of her with her team mates. Emiko had a great season and had fun, so that's good.
Masaru's been working hard at my mate Teresa's house in their backyard. They're paying him $10 an hour and he's been doing great. Here he is with their dog and one of their kids.
Emiko gave me this for mother's day. It had little nice things written on each flower.
She then wrote this to me in my card. I mean how cute is that right?
I think this is her playing soccer.
 Card from Takeshi.
I mean how awesome is this cute card from Takeshi. Thanks for just being me? These kids know the right things to say for sure.

 Takeshi's gift to me.

He was great.

Then Yuki did this poem for me hahahaha

Sweet card from Yuki.
This cute Emiko and her form fillings. Imagine if I was just 30 pounds? I'd be dead!! So cute.
I told Dru all I wanted for dinner was a decent salad. So he made me one.
I told them I needed a picture of all of us and this is what we got. It turned out to be a decent picture.
Masaru was talking up his gift all day and I knew he didn't have anything. Then at the very end of the day he gave me this. Like how he spelled uwsome? hahaha
Super cute.
I love being these guys mother. It's one of my most favourite things about being me.
I had a great day and was looked after.
I did nothing and my house was clean, that's all I wanted.

Eagle Bike Park

So the kids had their first official Timberline mtb practice at our EBP on Saturday the 11th. Yuki, Masaru and I came out to ride and coach.
We had stations set up where we split the kids up and did some skills training.
I went with Dave at the pump track and helped teach the kids how to pump which come in handy. It helps the kids to loosen up and to get their feet right and learn how to move their bike and use their body on the bike.

They divided the better kids up so they were in a group with the less skilled and I think it worked out great.
Yuki had a fun time as well as Masaru and his friends.
Afterwards they convinced Yuki and I to stay an extra 15 mins and let them ride the jumps and take some video's of them doing so.
Fun times.

My 42nd birthday

So I woke up and Emikokopops wanted to give me her present first. She is the cutest man. She got me the best things and the things that she loves as well.
She got me a sweet card and then some candy. Some bit of honey's and some raisinets as well as some charleston chews. It was the sweetest. It was nice to open up something in the morning as well. I don't like waiting.
I got some cute kiwi earrings from Brooke and this nice card.

Dru's parents gave me this card and some money which is always fantastic. I got myself some mtb summer gloves and a hair brush. I'm saving the rest of my money.

This is the cute card from Emiko.

I mean come on man. Way cute.

The front of her card.

The front of another couple of cards.
From Dru's sis and fam.
Love those guys.
From my friend Laura.

The cutest little card from Nat.
How wonderful is this.
The kids went to school and Nat came and visited me and we sat and talked and it was really nice. She helped my day be 100% better and I really appreciate her for that. She got me a little herb garden in a box and so far so good man. I haven't killed it. I love it.
Her daughter, Claire did this card for me.
Super cute right?
I got texts and a phonecall from Hilary which was nice as well.
Cesha got me some Idaho earrings which were beautiful.
I met Dru at lunch time and went for a quick ride with him. It was really nice and always hard. It was a good thing.
I got these flowers and chocolate from one of Dru's workmates for having him over for dinner the night before. Perfect gift.
Takeshi made me these flowers.
Yuki did her gift for me which was a scavenger hunt. I had to read the clues to my next one until I found the grand prize. Which was these flowers with this cute note.
And then these chocolates with this cool note.

Then this rock with this cute note. I mean how cool is that man. Yuki really went above and beyond for this birthday and made it super special and I love it.
The cards I got which I love. Takeshi's super cute flowers. Yuki did an amazing gift for me.

Dru got me baking stuff. So cupcake holders a couple of cake holders and tried to get me some mtb pants but I didn't like them.
I'll get myself some when I need them I guess.
Pants are a tough thing to purchase me. I have a tough time finding pants that fit me, so he had no hope.
We hung out and went out for sushi that night which was amazing.
It was a great day.

I don't mind turning 42 at all. It was a great day with great people and I had a wonderful time.
I can't help but get older and am realizing it's a tough deal getting older. But I need to embrace it and work with what I've got.
And what I've got is good things.

A few instagram video's and pictures about daily life

Gonna read this for a bookclub my mate made up. Should be interesting. It's a classic so that's good.
Emiko went to her physical check up and is doing great and growing well. Love this girl.

I went and helped out with Takeshi's scouts and we went on an adventure walk to find signs of life. Low and behold we totally found a snake. Can you believe that? They were pretty happy. It's about that time where we start irrigation for the season now. We'd gotten a ton this day. I love that we get irrigation. It's so fun. Brooke sent me an early birthday present that she found in London on their trip. Aren't they so cute? I love them. We had to go somewhere to pick something up from the chapel and the kids were waiting for me. They decided to do some pullups while they were waiting. The young mens' programme at church had a fundraiser and I made this cake for them. It made $50. So that's good. It's so yummy as well. The family that brought it let our family have some which was super nice of them. It was a good night. They did really well. We were invited to our mate, Andy's, 40th birthday party. It was really good. Dru and I had a great time. They did it close to their house and hired out the back room of a restaurant and he's a part of a band and they made a night of it. It was really nice. I'm glad he did it. The kids were playing a FBI game. They were pretty cute.

Family life

Some of Emiko's cute artwork.

Takeshi's artwork we did in class.

Emiko's cute foam artwork. Love it.

Yuki's sketch. It's so light.

I took this picture to remind myself that I got yelled at in a yoga class. I totally took this lady's spot and she wasn't happy. I was just making room for me and Nat to go, but that lady wasn't pumped for us. Hahahahaha oh well man, looks like my forward personality knows no bounds. She should try and see my 'light within' hahaha

So for my birthday, Yuki's teacher got me a gift. He knows a cleaning lady, and had her come to my house and clean. Talk about the best gift in the whole universe.
She came on Saturday morning and took care of all of this stuff for me. Can we say amazing? My whole weekend was super chill and relaxed because my house was beautiful. It was awesome.
Thanks to Mr. Herron for being a total rockstar.
Love that man.

Emiko had her last soccer game last Saturday and did great. Our friend, Ammon, was her coach and he is great. Emiko had a good time and it was nice to watch her play. Her team was pretty average and weren't the worst or the best but they're young and having fun right!!!

Masaru's been doing work for a bunch of different people to make money. He's been working for 6 different families helping out. He tolerates it because he knows he needs money, and he's a hard worker for these people, and they love him, but I also think if I didn't push him, he wouldn't be as pro-active about it, which I find interesting considering he wants money. So I have to remind him to say yes to all jobs because money is the goal and money doesn't fall from the sky and your parents aren't paying for things. He's mostly good about it. Maybe I should step back more and force him to do all the co-ordinating himself?
We'll see.
This is him at Teresa's house working in her backyard. Her work is the toughest, but he's making $10 an hour and has a steady amount of money coming in. He puts some in savings, for his bike, and some in the mason jar, for his mtb fees. So eventually he'll get to his goals.
He's so strong now it only makes sense to be working to help people. He doesn't talk much, he just listens to instructions then gets at it. I think if he sucked, people wouldn't ask him to come back right?
He told me the other day that his hands were way rougher than his mates.
I told him that's because he bikes to school and back and because he works so much in people's yards. I told him it was making him into a man and teaching him skills that he'll need when he has his own place to look after.
It's very important to know how to work hard, physically as well as in other ways. I think there's some kids who can't handle hard physical labour as well as being away from their phones.
The other day Dru told me of a girl at his mates work, who got a job, came in and worked one day and said "I want money, but I don't want to have to work for it" and quit right there on the spot.
How's she going to survive in life?
Masaru can be away from the phone and he can work hard. He's good at relaxing too and being with friends and is still figuring out a balance, which is where I come in hahahaha
I dunno man. But so far so good. Hopefully he'll have continual work over the summer to have a steady income coming in.
He thought he wanted a job at a place but Dru and I told him that they pay less than these yard jobs and are less flexible on his time. So we'll see what he decides to do. He can start learning how to drive in September, so he's way pumped about that and I am too. Now both Dru and Masaru can drive and I can just sit and knit. All my dreams are coming true.
